I don’t know who we’re playing, altho I know I don’t like Mike Bibby. I also know that UCLA’s O has stepped up the pace both in transition and in CMC’s halfcourt sets. We’re getting off shots more quickly, which is weighing on the Bibbys. Less hesitation and more slashes toward the hoop.
Building confidence, UCLA went a notable 55% from the field and an atypically solid 59% from the arc. Dent has continued to play somewhat detached, with only 2 FGAs (missed them both) and a middling 3 assists. In a word, opposition teams are focused on keeping him out of the paint which hampers UCLA’s O……..hence upping the oace in the 1H. Perry, Brown & Booker are taking up the slack, each shooting over .500.
