Some of it seems to be Musselman's personality. I imagine some guys were encouraged to leave.
Yates may be a special case since he is from the Seattle area, and spent a red-shirt year on the Husky roster under coach Mike Hopkins. After a year at SC, he seemed ready for a return home. Somehow he brought Claude with him.
