I wonder if Dent needs a more free flowing offense where he can star to be effective. But I didn't like Dent's attitude yesterday, blaming teammates, trying to score 1 on 2, trying to dribble around the hard hedge, etc. Dent also looks very one-dimensional, looking to drive it every time. I truly thought we were a better team with Perry, Clark, Brown, Dailey, and either Booker or Jamerson on the floor. IMO, Perry and Brown showed the most heart on the team. Very disappointing.

It felt like we scored 8 easy points at the beginning of the game and thought it'd be easy, then Chris Bell had his technical and turned it on for Cal. They looked like the more athletic and disciplined team, scrapping for loose balls, diving on the floor, competing, driving harder at us. On the other hand, our missed FTs felt like a reflection of a lack of focus or humility from our team. I completely agree with Cronin's assessment of the team after the game, and I think it starts with changing Dent's attitude. It may require taking more losses and learning to stay the course in hard situations before things turn around. Without this, the team looks like only a tournament team at best (consistent with KenPom and other rankings).
