It’s a drop in the bucket compared to playing a sport that generates billions, and not seeing any cash from that.

This is a bummer for us, but it was a total rip off for the players until NIL came along.

Require that they be students; pay them. Seems simple to me. And I will add, make the nil contracts rolling two year contracts, that require a buyout if a player leaves to play for another team. That will put some viscosity in the portal.

If there is some ncaa regulation that prevents that, well lots of people are saying “change the rules,” that’s the rule change - one which would permit that. And, this is more of a football thing, back load the payments. You don’t play through the end of your season, e.g., your bowl game, you don’t get the last payment. And pay a bonus to the winning players. That bonus could partially be funded by the Bowl. Again, if that’s barred by the rules, change the rules. So that they make sense.
