an eye looking forward 2 and 3 years down the line, instead of that it's now all condensed into one season. The process is shortened and hastened. The results IMO are that teams by end of season are not as developed as they have been in earlier times. It is what it is, as imperfect as it may be. Still teams and players do develop, albeit perhaps less than before, and teams do get better.

In terms of this current Bruin team, I do believe they will get better, but the 5's IMO are so far behind in their development to be an effective low post 5 on both sides of the ball that if they do improve enough to significantly contribute it probably won't happen this season. For Jamerson it's too late. For Booker, I believe he would be well advised to stay at UCLA and look toward next season to see if he can become the player his skills and talents promise. Of course, Cronin may move on and bring in a more significant post player. That's modern college basketball.
