what I see is generally ineffective low post play by the Bruins on both sides of the ball. Bilodeau IMO does the best overall job in that position, but as we all know that really isn't his position and at best he's just adequate on the defensive side. Kudos to him for taking on that task and doing as good a job as he does.
Booker and Jamerson have their moments, but generally they just don't get the job done - at least not as good as needed. IMO Booker is just way too soft. He has talent and potential but again IMO he plays hesitantly, is often out of position, unbalanced, and therefore weak. He already has a strength issue. Being out of position and not having his feet firmly beneath him just adds to the problem.
Of course they are going to be needed. And they will probably help when playing bigger teams. But, the problem is the Bruins will not be able to challenge better teams without them playing effectively and significantly contributing. With Booker playing effectively at the 5 in all departments this Bruin team could be very good. Without Booker they probably will end up being a top 25-30 team.
They both, especially Booker, need to play better. Cronin keeps saying that and it's true. As harsh as they might sound that's really what is needed. They both need to look at themselves and see what they need to do and then figure out how to do it. The Bruins need an effective 5. There's just no way around that. They need to figure out how to step up. Tempest fugit and carpe diem for crying out loud.
