It's time for Close to take a T protecting Lauren. In the first quarter, the game within the game was "how many times and how hard can we hit Betts as she runs up the court?"
A thing that I loved. Sienna took a three. That's not what I loved. Immediately after, Close pulled her and sat her for a long time. The box score says Muse played one minute, but I'm telling you, that's wrong. Sienna sat for while after she took that three. Well done, Coach Close.
Sienna looked like she's going to live up to the hype. She's got a much better, that's much better, touch around the rim than Lauren and is much more accurate on those 3,4,5 footers that post players have to take sometimes.
Hats off to the Illini. Played a very good game, w/ a very good game plan.
I'd love for us to poach Parchment. I know, that was the game of her life, but she's just a Freshman and is super polished. She's going to be fantastic. I'd take Webber, too.
