Up until he started to turn it around on offense when he shot and made a three on a second chance effort - shooting immediately without thinking about it - up to then his shots seemed too hard, too long. There wasn't that softness of touch he has been showing. As said below, he did turn his play around later in the game I thought.
On defense, Oregon clearly schemed to take advantage of our shifting defense to work to get Evans isolated on Perry - which they did a whole large amount of the time and Evans is just too strong and big for Perry to defend as the former's 24 point performance showed - when he was the sole serious threat and everyone knew it. I don't think that is correctable this season; think the solution would be to give Evans more respect and scheme a solution to get someone else covering him whenever possible.
But the guards also blew past Perry much of the game. I hear you
