It's not like Cronin had to settle for Dent, he was the guy at the top of his wish list and getting him was considered something of a coup. Petty was the 35th ranked recruit in country coming out of high school. Dailey was better when he got here than he is now after 2 years of being coached by Cronin, the team's best center is playing for Michigan. This is the roster than CMC wanted, built himself, and talked about in the offseason like he was over the moon. Expectations for this team were VERY high, and yet, now that they have underperformed and generally disappointed, you want to flip it and say "oh poor Mick, he has nothing to work with?" Sorry, but no.
