I watched the last couple of minutes on my TiVo recording of the game after I got home from Pauley. The announcer actually DID mention "Tyus Edney!" just as Dent was starting to go up with the shot, and then again as the players mobbed Dent on the court a few seconds later. It's very hard to hear on the broadcast, though, because I and 10,000 or so of my closest friends were making a LOT of noise in there! I don't think there was time for anyone on the production team to have given a reminder, it all happened very quickly. :-)
