Greatest game ever in Pauley?

I've seen every UCLA game ever played in Pauley on TV or in person and I think a good case can be made that the Illinois game was the greatest ever. It was the biggest comeback ever (23 points) in Pauley, only once had UCLA won as a bigger home underdog (+8.5 in a meaningless game against Cal in 2004) and of all the Pauley buzzer beaters, none was more dramatic. Add to that the circumstances surrounding the game, it has to be considered as #1.

I would hope by now, many of those here would realize what I've been saying all along. This a is good team at full strength. They just haven't been for a good portion of the season. And for those who have claimed Donovan Dent was a bust or not making an impact on the team, consider that he's the third best point guard in the Big-10 behind probably the best two in the country. He's scored or assisted on about 45% of the team's baskets, just slightly behind Braden Smith. His role here is just different than what it was at New Mexico.

I wrote this here on November 28:

But let's wait until everyone gets healthly and Dent gets in gear before we judge . . . All of this probably leads to an up and down season. Enjoy the ride.
