… understanding, and I don’t mean being told how, but feeling it, living it. A switch has to turn on, and I think for some it never does.
I know this because I was a “late bloomer” pickup ball player, and as early on I was leagues behind most of those I played with, I had to find something to be valuable for, and rebounding became it. Once I became fairly proficient at that, it allowed me more PT and with a little work on the side, I improved my other skills. I think most people get to rebounding as a part of their 3rd or 4th skill.
