UCLA 32, OSU 21
Lauren and Angela (Betts and Dugalic) started Q2 with baskets. Kris Johnson did a nice piece this morning on Dugalic and how she was the key in our first game against OSU - the 6'4" Dugalic paired with the 6'8" Lauren Betts are a combo nobody has had an answer for yet. Nice to see them get going after a pretty sluggish Q1.
Easy for a Bruin fan to focus on our continuing funk from three point range - we're 1-9 today after 1-10 yesterday - but step back and the story of the game to this point is UCLA has held OSU to 28% shooting for the half.
Rice, Kneepkens and Duigalic have led UCLA on offense.
Cori Close said at halftime we are over-helping on defense which has allowed OSU to get some open looks from three where they are 4-12 which has kept them within striking distance. She noted we had gotten sped up which has hurt our shooting but it's true for both team I think
