In addition to the other stuff, if we win, we are the #6 seed in the Big Ten tournament. That means we would play Northwestern or Washington or Minnesota. (I am not sure about the tiebreaker between the last 2 for 11th place.) Our next game would be Nebraska or Illinois.
If we lose we are the #8 seed (assuming Ohio State doesn't blow a 17-point lead to Indiana). That means we probably play Wisconsin, with Michigan waiting for the winner.
A win tonight means a much easier path in our first two conference tournament games.
Not that we need more motivation.
