In the 86-year history of the NCAA tournament, only 20 teams have ever entered the tournament with a perfect record. Only 7 won the championship and four were coached by John Wooden.
Since seeding started in 1979, every one was a #1 seed. Miami is projected as a #10/11. This would have been very unusual had they not lost.
