Was in the elevator, struck up a conversation with a tall woman. She was there from the WNBA. I said "Did you see how Betts shut down Booker??" The woman nodded like, "um, yeah"
I said ya, Betts was in her face all night. Then the elevator opened up, a woman who was obviously with the Texas delegation entered the elevator. I wasn't going to let that prevent me from completing my lobbying for Lauren. So, I said "they did noooot plan for Betts' mobility" Then I looked at Texas lady and said "sorry" like, I'm not trying to rub it on.
Texas lady: "It's ok, I was there, I saw it." In kind of a shellshocked manner. She had name tags on her stuff, and ya, she was part of the auxiliary staff for the Texas team. At least someone from Texas is giving Betts her due.
