They are just tired of the high cost of living, highest gas prices in the nation, soft on crime, total bureaucracy that takes years to get permits for simple stuff, 10 mile drives that take an hour to complete, or knowing they can get the exact house for 1/2 to 1/3 of what it costs in CA?
To some, the beaches and great weather aren't worth all that.
