Not on the priorities.
I’m tired of our bigs getting pushed around. For the past two years, we haven’t been able to handle a strong post presence or consistently secure rebounds. That’s where I think he needs to begin. It doesn’t mean allocating the most money there—skilled perimeter players usually command more—but he should be actively searching the portal for a quality big before they’re gone.
Next, I’d prioritize a versatile BIG wing who can both defend and knock down shots. As klkl mentioned, I’d hand the point guard responsibilities over to Trent. He’s improved every year, and I expect another step forward. That said, adding a reliable backup point guard is still important.
The theme here is Big! In order to compete in this conference we need to build our team with certain qualities in mind.
