but I think it's a mistake to rely on Perry to be a primary point guard. At best he's a combo guard IMO and able to spell a primary point guard for a bit but not effectively lead the team as the main guy. He lacks a quickness that would allow him to penetrate into the paint and break down defenses. He is, however, a good shooter who can slash to the hoop after the defense has been stretched and flattened and either finish or find an open spot up shooter. That's different from being the guy in charge of penetrating and overall setting the tone for the offense. IMO, Cronin needs to go after a 1 not a 2. He already has Perry and Freeny at the 2 and maybe Clark if that ends up working out that way.
