Who is a proud UCLA alum, the son of a proud UCLA alum, and the grandson of a proud UCLA alum, who has been an ardent fan and supporter of UCLA and UCLA athletics for over 50 years, who attended UCLA Football, Basketball, Volleyball, Gymnastics and Track and Field games and meets throughout my childhood and adult life, who on multiple occasions during my childhood had the privilege of sitting courtside behind the basket in Nan Wooden's seats, while my parents sat in the Wizard's center court seats. Nan was a regular customer at my dad's place of business, and one day while approving a check she'd written, he'd noticed her last name and half jokingly asked if there was any relation to John Wooden, and when she replied, "Actually yes, he's my father" he couldn't hide his excitement at meeting the daughter of Bruin royalty, which eventually led to her occasionally offering him tickets to games that the family was unable to attend. On one occasion he nearly lost his sh!t when he arrived at the center court seat he'd been given a ticket to and discovered that Nan had failed to mention that he was going to be joining her dad who was seated beside him for the entire game and apparently had been made aware that his guest was a huge fan, and as was true of every other account I have ever heard of Coach Wooden, he was incredibly gracious and chatted with my dad throughout the entire game, something he still recalls with great excitement. UCLA has been woven through my entire life. I have several siblings, only one other who attended UCLA (for graduate school), but all, having been born Bruins, nonetheless rarely if ever miss a football or basketball game, and following each one there is typically a lengthy discussion via sometimes impossibly long text chains.
So yeah, I'm definitely a troll.
