The portal process is so secretive. Very little info seems available. All of a sudden there's an announcement that someone has committed. No one outside the loop seems to know how much money is available or who is being considered or how many. We read articles and listen to podcasts that really are just other's unknowing speculations, guesses, and projections of what they think is needed. I've come to the conclusion that almost everybody who is talking or writing about any of this really doesn't know anything. And who are the few who seem to know something and how do they come to know what they know?
Is Cronin still going after Blackwell? Is that still a possibility or does Robinson's commitment mean that Blackwell is off the table? Are there any big men that UCLA is considering? Are they even looking at big men or are they done with that? What's the deal with Luke Wilson? What about Anton Bonke? Is Matt Able still a possibility? Is Khamenia a UCONN lock? How many more transfers are realistically being considered given the budget? What is the UCLA budget?
The whole process is really quite unsatisfying on so many levels.
