I think there was some roster management by Close there. Not saying that Siena didn’t deserve the minutes, but keeping her happy was well worth sitting a little more the arguably best D1 player this year. Not to mention having the comfort of killing most teams on our schedule. Besides the point that Lauren did not get much time at Stanford because Stanford was trying to keep Brinker happy, i think Siena benefitted from Close’s observation of the downside of not keeping the young back up happy. Losing our entire freshmen class was likely reinforcement of that.
