I’m just pointing out what I remember as the main criticism. There were plenty—things like the SI article, his defense-first approach, and the whole situation with the X players (hard to forget Walton calling him out on TV). Even the BRO crowd, who now act friendly with him, were constantly taking shots back then.
At the end of the day, though, it feels like the major donors are the ones really in control. Once you lose their support, everything unravels.
Ironically, I’m starting to notice a lot of the same patterns starting to play out.
