If you have access to Paramount+, you and your wife will want to watch "Made for March". It's a 4-part documentary covering the Michigan and Kansas seasons.
It's pretty well done.
I think we are going to see a ton of sports documentaries in the future. :Drive to Survive" did so much to boost interest in Formula One, and so just about every sport is allowing more and more access to filmmakers.
