so far and may not be, according to many reports, and that is the center position. With a lot of big centers out there, it seems UCLA either wasn't interested or didn't have the funds required.

One guy I really wanted them to bring in was 7'2, 270 lb Anton Bonke. He was available until today when it was reported that another top Big 10 team, Mich State, picked him up. And now I've read that Michigan is possibly going to get Cincinnati's big 7'2, 250 lb center who is probably better than Bonke. They already have a commitment from the 6'11, 250 lb big from Tennessee and a 7'2 European freshman coming in. Even Indiana has brought in two bigs, one 7 footer from SMU and a 6'11 player from Alabama.

I'm wondering how the Bruins are going to compete against these types of huge teams with no power bigs on their roster. Booker (who certainly is not a power big) is the only experienced player on the roster over 6'8 and that's going to be a problem against some Big 10 teams, IMO. Getting the Baylor player would certainly be a huge help (still not a lock though) but I'm still hoping Cronin can bring in a big space eater, as a minimum, before the start of next season---if nothing more than to give Booker a break or when foul trouble is a problem.
