Well behind big sis Lauren (24.7) but only 2.4 points behind #2 Kiki, which isn't bad for a freshman compared to the #6 pick in the WNBA draft.
#2 in total rebounds, 11.4 to 12.6 for the NCAA tournament's MOP.
#2 in blocks (tied with Muse), 1.2 to 3.0 for the B1G defensive player of the year.
Also, I think Aarnisalo's 2025/26 season compares well to Brown's, even if Brown's counting numbers are better in each of the top-3 categories.
Gardiner's 2024/25 7.6ppg, 3.4rpg, and 1.0apg in only 18.3mpg were pretty respectable, not to mention 39.5% from three. The year before, at OSU, she had 11.6/7.0/1.4 in 26.7mpg. That compares well with Brown too.
This looks like a pretty good team. Probably a reach to think they'll be competive with our rivals but they seem good enough to take the rest of the B1G teams.
