I was actually a double major in History and Political Science and I didn't see any athletes enrolled in my classes (maybe that was the problem?) because in the history major, there were, in my experience, a lot of reading and early midterm testing. Often we have to have read a book and be ready to discuss the first week. That tends to eliminate the "scholar athletes".
When I was at UCLA, seems to me most FB or BB players were in Communications, Sociology, and Psychology. And the two easy A classes were a kiddy lit and intro to jazz class that all the athletes enrolled in.
