the University of Cincinnati. There were three years of exciting basketball and sold out houses with the Bearcats averaging around 85 PPG. Robertson was a three time all American, three time player of the year, led the nation in scoring for three years, was the all time leading scorer in NCAA history, led his team to a 79-9 record in three years, and twice went to the final four.
After Robertson left Ed Jucker took over and slowed everything down averaging around 72 ppg for the nest three seasons. Fans complained, stopped attending games as the team struggled. And then something happened. The team kept winning. For the next three years they went 82-6. They won three consecutive Missouri Valley Conference titles. And they won two consecutive national championships and came within a few seconds of winning a third. All of this with a slower less exciting offense.
