I agree with you that his guard skills are not quite up to the D 1 level…but are quite good for a 4. I guess the open question for me is can he fit into a team or does he need to be the focus? In the past, and far too often, ED would sink into the crowd and disappear when he was not the focus…he will remain, I fear, a tough coaching job for Mick. I also wonder what happens to him “if” he becomes the other team’s “guy to stop”. I like him very much but wonder if NYB’s garbage man moniker is his highest and best use.
