I don't think he is a surprise at all. The guy is legit and a known entity. IMO, Cronin pulled off a minor coup in getting him to UCLA. In high school he was an All American and nominated for a McDonald's. He was Washington's Gatorade Player of the year while averaging 25, 6, 6, and 3 his senior year. Led two different high schools to a state championship. Shot a career 47% from 3 and 60% from the floor overall his senior season. And was a 3.9 student. He may be tough to keep away from playing lead guard. Perry is good and a proven point, but this guy might be even better. I believe UCLA has a very strong backcourt with Freeny and Robinson rounding out the group. That's a potent quartet.
