Ya, looking at the box score Neophyte provided, lots of interesting stuff. Okafor's stats do jump off the page. That 4 OR is pretty awesome. Deas is a rebound hound too. It's my recollection that Brown is a strong rebounder. With Betts and Gardiner down low, we should be a very good rebounding team.
The one small downside is Okafor had 4 fouls in 24 minutes. It would not be surprising if it took her a while to adjust to NCAA officiating.
Interesting that the starting lineup is:
Betts
Gardiner
Hunter
Deas
Aarnisalo
Maybe Okafor can provide a big spark off the bench. Maybe the opposition was weak, but putting up those stats against an ACC opponent in one of your first games is impressive.
Side note - we shot almost 70% on threes. If we can keep that up all season :-).
I keep hoping for more from Muse, I feel like it's in there.
At the presser, CCC said she wants to play fast. Muse is very fast. She could get out on the break. And, it looks to me like she has a good stroke. I wish she'd take a 3 here and there.
