He's not out with a minor injury or illness. He took a leave of absence from the team and is, reportedly, not on campus. Can't play if he's not enrolled in class this quarter.
Could be a life-threatening disease to him or a family member, could be working out personal issues. Maybe things turn around and he's back on campus for Winter quarter, no one can say.
