I thought Dent’s signing was huge last year. He’s an offensive player who thrives in the open court, which, quite frankly, made him a questionable fit for Cronin’s system. There are legitimate arguments out there that players like Dent are handcuffed by Cronin’s style of play. This was an opportunity for Cronin to prove those critics wrong, and in my opinion, he failed. If Dent gets the opportunity to play at LSU and looks like the All-Conference player he was at New Mexico, I think it could have some serious ramifications for Cronin in the recruiting community.
