UCLA took 37 three-point attempts last night, the most in program history. They made 12, which is about 32%. Anything around 35-36% or higher is good percentage shooting. The problem is that if you take away Dailey's 7-9, they only were 5-28. Even if you remove Kusturica's 0-6 (he has never been a very good 3-point shooter), it's still 5-22. One of the makes was by Alston, who won't be playing in any important game.
I don't mind taking a lot of threes, but they must make a higher percentage. Petty shot 37.5% last season, Robinson shot 43.3% last season, and Perry 39.2% last season. Combined last night they were 4-17 on threes. So I would expect better shooting going forward.
