You state that " He's had to navigate both COVID and the NIL era" as thought these are somehow unique to Mick? I am pretty sure that every program in country has had to deal with both and the coaches at many have arguably done a better job than he has. And as far as Covid goes, he got though that on heels of a roster that was assembled by Alford, and if you take out the Covid* season, I think the conversation about his "coaching prowess" looks very different even for his most ardent defenders.
