no morning coffee was a pretty good description, truk. Hunter was impressive all around. Betts had a significant height advantage inside but her first half didn't go much of anywhere. She finished, iirc, with 15 points, also led the team with 7 RBs and also with 5 turnovers. Muse was the only Bruin who somehow managed to end up with a minus plus/minus score in an easy 20 point win by her team, this despite actually hitting a couple shots late in garbage time. In fact, the team looked a lot better going without a true center when Sienna sat than with Muse in there. Sure hope she can do better as the season goes on.

Bransford and Deas looked pretty good. Okafor once again had two early fouls and had to sit much of the first half. We hit all of 6 of our 21 three point attempts (29%).

There's a ways to go. uclabruins.com likes to say we've open our defense of our national championship - seems a wrong emphasis at this very, very early point. Long way to go and this ought to be a pretty good team by late season but hardly seems any threat to be involved in the NC hunt this year. More the very start of the next era after the graduation of the NC team leaders.
