I was saying for days (weeks, maybe) that we'd beat Arizona. They are badly overrated. It hasn't really made sense why they should be ranked ahead of us (or in the top 5!) when they lost their best players from last year's team and didn't really replace them with much. It's frustrating that this win probably won't even mean that much in March, given that they are likely not even a tournament team.
It's nice to start the season with a win. I couldn't believe we let them back into it in the waning minutes. Typical coaching blunders on our side down the stretch. Instead of sticking with what got us the big lead, Cronin changed things up and let Arizona back in the game.
We won't really know how good this team is until they play an actual contender.
