I'm not a Jarmond fan either, I simply don't care enough about an AD.
"Anyone with a modicum of modesty would downplay that description, but he never does"
- Self-promotion is the core of corporate America. Can't depend on others to promote for you. It's a simple embellishment like we all do on our resumes

"(slid in on USC's coattails)"
- Maybe, but we got the same deal that SC did. I always felt they wanted SC football and UCLA basketball. SC basketball and UCLA football was always the carry-on. Either way, the money helped out our dire athletic department finances

"Jordan Brand/Nike (Nike swept in to pick up one of the most iconic brands in college sports history for pennies on the dollar — knowing full and well that UCLA is banking on offsetting costs through legal recourse with Under Armour)"
- Well Nike ain't going to pay full price and we didn't have leverage. There's only a few big name athletic wear sponsors. We were done with Adidas, Reebok doesn't have money, we have UA in litigation, smaller brands like Russell and Champs probably don't have that type of budget. Nike had full leverage in this negotiation

"at the forefront of a rapidly-changing collegiate athletics landscape in the burgeoning area of Name, Image and Likeness (NIL)" (more like the back seat)."
- Yes, that's a big failure on him. But lets be honest, UC alum don't donate like the private schools and SEC schools anyways. Cal doesn't have much of an NIL either. It's certainly an area that UCLA should improve on

"UCLA's record of being one of the few schools never playing an FCS team"
- Yeah most ppl don't care. You are talking about pride and looking at our football teams the past 20 years, there's very little to be proud of. All records are meant to be broken and I don't see an issue on beating up one FCS school per year

As for his FB coach decisions. I'll just say it's too early to deem DF hire as a failure. I will just say big $$ and big name coaches don't always bring wins (just look across town).
