Thanks for the article. I haven’t been over here much. I’m in hoops mode and it seems like Chip killed UCLA’s football and Foster hasn’t reignited any interest. Unfortunately, I have your Tide in my final four so I’ll be rooting for you, but I’m likely to lay the points on UNC. Good luck.

This is a typical McKinsey analysis and a philosophy many people at iarge organizations preach. I’ve been forced to attend too many of these because of my job. Focus on process which gives one a higher likelihood of success. To be honest I’d bet 75% of coaches utilize some variation of this pedagogy. Guess what, it’s only successful if you win. It’s the old self-fulfilling prophecy. So, yeah, when someone like Saban extolls this process oriented approach, it’s viewed favorably. When Locksley utilizes it at NMST nobody says a word.

Let me guess, benching Milroe for that ND scrub last year was part of the process and in his flow chart. Benching Hurts at halftime for Tua was a methodical process oriented approach. How’d it work for the Dolphins.

I’m not a believer. I believe in adapting to each situation that presents itself and not following a flowchart.

Thanks again, always nice to see you over here.
