and I can only speculate.
The fact remains that Schlee, wherever he plays, is an unconventional, but highly effective weapon if deployed creatively. My speculation remains that he left because he sensed that the new staff lacks the creativity to deploy his talents in a mutually acceptable fashion. He might not have started, but he could've played meaningfully in a creative offense. He didn't see that so he left.
That this offensive coaching staff lacks creativity shouldn't be surprising when you consider that they're a staff composed of over-the-hill NFL castoffs hired by Ucla, a brain-dead, social welfare government program endowed with the same insights and spark of leadership as the DMV.
