Consistency in CFB is all about OL play, running the ball, and being able to stop the run - especially in the B1G. Also defense getting off the field on 3rd down.
I do hope we aren't too pass happy. Over the past few years we've finally gotten solid OL play, and not maintaining that will kill us.
And yeah, I grew up with Niner season tix under Walsh - Walsh still ran the ball more than he threw it most games.
