My point was to offer no offense but to say that it matters not at all who you are, or who I am. This isn't an ad hominem attack, and my earlier categorization was of your post, not of you personally. Again, not ad hominem.
Perhaps you misunderstand this term.
Now, with all due respect, I would like to end any further discussion of who I am, who you are or what you think of those topics.
I'm perfectly willing to discuss matters of fact and reason as they pertain to the football program. That's a welcome change from the usual drivel that passes for posting here.
My thesis is simple. Bruin fans are dissuaded from seeing the root cause of the program's mediocrity: Morgan Center and Ucla itself. The coaches have been pedestrian, with one exception, the players have been average and the program has drifted into mediocrity as the department went bankrupt.
Brainwashed fans can't carry in their heads the idea that Ucla the institution sucks because at the same time they insist it's elite. Ucla's not elite, and its inability to succeed in football is proof. But that's too painful mentally to sustain, so they default to the Chip hate. It's a cheap cop out.
It's also self defeating. We Bruin fans should be in open revolt but we get bought off with open practices, a spring "game" and a glad-handing coach. We need gobs of money and new talent, not gobs of rah rah gunk.
