Agree about the Parasite. That's to be expected of any commercial enterprise. We fans should be mindful of their conflict of interest, but in the Chip case that mindfulness was eroded, brainwashed away.
My suspicion is that Chip spent his relatively meager recruiting money in the portal and I support that business logic in him. Low information Bruin fans who still believe in HS recruiting (and the inane rankings from the Parasite) were disappointed. The Parasite makes little on the portal but needs the ballyhoo of HS recruiting to generate clicks. They were natural enemies and the Parasite had a natural audience for its propaganda. We should recognize the Parasite is not a friend of ours.
