I suppose in theory that's true, but Ucla-Cal isn't a rivalry. There's no intensity of emotion on either side. Our rival is SC and that looks likely to remain the case come what may. But Ucla-Cal is a pretend situation.

It's a poor scheduling decision that I can only make sense of in a political and financial framework. It won't spark fan interest from Ucla, Cal or anywhere else.

Another move in the wrong direction for Ucla football. Instead of embracing a national profile and scheduling national opponents, we slip backward into the past and into a forgotten region of CFB, the west coast.
