Yes, I watched it now and years ago when it emerged.
There is no evidence in it that Brian is mentally ill. But even if I go along with the video's insinuation and stipulate that he is, there is no evidence it's caused by CTE. He claims he had headaches in high school. Did he already have a severe enough case of CTE at 17 or 18 to cause headaches? Maybe, but how would we know? Several other factors can cause headaches.
If Brian has mental illness, is it possible there is another cause or multiple other causes? Of course.
Believing Brian has CTE is confirmation bias, a form of imaginary thinking that people, especially on this board, love to fall into.
The video says CTE can only be confirmed after death when the brain can be examined. Frank Gifford had it, they say. Yes, that Frank Gifford. The same Frank Gifford who lived until 85 and spent 50 years in TV broadcasting including anchoring the sport's premier showcase, Monday Night Football for nearly 30 years. This would suggest that CTE had no effect on Frank even if he had it his whole life.
