We could be as good or better on defense (not likely, but bear with me), but be WAY behind in Total D, due to the monster schedule - 3 straight games v. top 10 opponents, plus UW/SC.
DBs will have to gel as a unit (the talent appears to be better than last year), and the DEs will need to generate pressure - the new additions will need to step up.
I think we'll be pretty good if we can stay healthy. Malloe did pretty good in the Bowl game, but will have a challenge integrating all the new parts, but having Toia/Smith and the LBs back will really help I think.
