I don't know how good the tackling was in 2021 or 2022, on a scale of 1 to 10.
But I think the tackling was EXCELLENT in 2023. And I think the improvement in conditioning from 2022 to 2023 was THE single biggest factor in vastly improved tackling.
Instead of being gassed in the 4th q of the AZ and Pitt games, and letting the qb slip out of sacks, latu and the twins had the juice to bring them down. Then Carl Jones and Kain Medrano were also quick all year. And Muasau.
I'm really hoping to see a very fit Ucla team in 2024. But Belton leaving really kills my buzz. It's not a good vote of confidence in cdf that kb left, if he left voluntarily. Anybody heard why kb left? Was it an hr issue?
