This is another nonsense opinion as dictated by the parasitic Bruin media.

Chip's teams got better each year and, had Chip not unfortunately chosen to gamble 2023 on Dante Moore at QB, the 2023 season might've been a banner year. By the time he left, Chip had rebuilt the program, and he left it in far better shape than any of the coaches you mention. Chip was far from the worst thing to ever happen here.

The worst thing to ever happen to the program was the departure of Chancellor Young in 1997. The program has been a government services mediocrity ever since.

The Chancellors that followed Young were indifferent to football. Carnesale brought in Guerrero as AD which proved to be a catastrophic event for football. DG failed as hard as any D1 AD in the country save for three trips to the Final Four by basketball's Ben Howland. When Block arrived, the football program continued as Ucla's tolerated necessary evil, used to raise money to fund the Olympic sports.

This is failure in football is consistent with Block's egalitarianism and the mounting level of Ucla's conceit and arrogance. They see themselves as Olympians, not as grubby footballers.

Morgan Center's chronic incompetence, growing year by year since 1997 under a chain of incompetent and aloof Chancellors and the worst AD in D1 is the worst thing to ever happen to Ucla football. Don't put this on the coaches or even any set of players. The only constant in Ucla's decay from what had been one of the nation's mightiest football programs into a laughable, toss-in afterthought is Ucla and Morgan Center. Focus your crticism on them if you want to help.
