for the postion group with desperate need -- ol. Good ol are rarely in the portal, and when they do appear they are snatched by programs with more to offer than UCLA. Most ol in the portal aren't good enough to get playing time and/or are encoraged to hit the portal. UCLA ends up with those guys. ol is a position group that has to be recruited from hs and developed. Chip never built that pipeline of developed ol, a huge recruiting failure.
