I wasn't aware of this feud going on between the two of you so all I know about it is what's in this post (or whatever parts of it I bothered to read) but ....
Yeah, if you're ahead one game, it is not fair for you to see NYB's pick for the reasons you mention (though, see below), but why is it unfair for your picks to be seen by NYB? He's one game behind, so if he copies your picks, he loses. He needs to pick something different. You made your picks, Presumably you think you got it right, which is why you've picked what you picked. At that point it is on you to get it right. If NYB has to pick something else, he is forced to deviate from your picks. It's totally and completely fair for him to hope you drop the ball on your picks.
And then there is this: why do you care that much? It's just a fun thing we do here. You don't need to get that crazy about it, right? So just put down your picks and hope it works out like most folks would. Why be so competitive on something that so completely doesn't matter at all?
